Diwali Celebration at Jefferson Montessori |
The entire school
celebrated Diwali with special activities in each classroom that included henna tattoos, bindis, and making tea light diyas. The children also tasted Indian sweets. The morning ended with a cultural assembly in which all of the children learned about Diwali. Many of the children, parents, and teachers, participated in the fashion show where they got to show off traditional clothing representing various states in India.
